My boyfriend and I love coming here for sushi. They also have hibachi but we haven't tried it yet. Service has been pretty good. But that just gives us more time to talk during dinner. Definitely try the Fire Island Roll!
I came here for a take out. I was craving sushi so I decided to try this place out. Sushi is reasonably priced, staff was very friendly and the wait time for my food was very quick. I was in and out within 10 minutes. I will definitely come back for the full dine in experience.
The food was bland and everything was too oily. There wasn't even a single hint of salt on anything. The rice was chewy, the batter on the fried foods was also chewy and wet instead of crispy. And that's just the food. While my friends and I were sitting and eating our meal, for a good 10 minutes I watched a blonde bartender douse in hands in alcohol and proceed to light them on fire. He was clearly drunk and acting like a buffoon. The manager proceeded to join in conversation and it was clear he had had one too many drinks. One is far more than you should have on the job. I should also mention that they were not even trying to entertain guests, there was no one at the bar as this was going on. They were just passing the time for themselves. It was clear that the manager was encouraging him AND the manager was on his phone. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to see a couple of monkeys and eat oily cardboard.
My favorite restaurant! It's nice and clean. The service is great and appropriate. They are wonderful. Plus the food is awesome.
I wouldn't recommend Fuji Sushi. We ate sushi and it was acceptable (average), but with so many other fine restaurants around to choose, they should try harder to make a good customer experience. We were there Saturday July 14 at 7:30pm. In general, the waitstaff seemed friendly, but our waitresses could barely speak English and would not stick around long enough to get our order right or answer our questions. I guess she was too busy. As a result, our table didn't get requested items until the meal was almost over and we had to get another person to bring it. Even worse, the manager was over across the room interacting with the waiters, talking very loudly, joking, and saying rude remarks about customer situations. To me, he came across cocky & prideful. I lost all respect for this man. Our meal was even interrupted because of the "commotion" he wad causing. We thought something was wrong or a fight had broken out. I should have taken my family and just walked out. As another reviewer said, he seemed more interested in singing & messing around with his staff than making customers feel comfortable.
