My order was mixed up with another order which I discovered when the food was unwrapped at home. Called Big Scoop & told there would be the correct order the next day on the house as the kitchen was closed for the night. Went to get the order the next day & was informed that I had to pay $3.50 for the fries. The fries were awful. Haven't been back & do not recommend this place. I had previously spent a lot of money there but no more.
My family and I decided to give this place a try due to the great reviews. Im sorry, this place is terrible. Club had wilted lettuce, dry turkey (it was crunchy)paid an extra $.50 for white meat as well, and didnt get the coleslaw that was ordered, asked for fresh cut fries. They came dark and taste of dirty oil. I ordered a Chicken ceaser, I got 3 pieces of dry over cooked chicken... and wilted lettuce. Came with a burnt piece of toast with garlic butter.. Too bad, was expecting a little more attentiveness to the quality of food. Since it was right on the Number 1 Highway coming from Digby. We spent about $50. Dont waste yours. P.S. Waitress was friendly..
Nothing bad to say at all! Great food and service at reasonable prices. The restaurant has a nice country feel to it with great home cooked meal type food like your grandmother used to make. I got the roast turkey dinner which was excellent and the roll with it was warm like it was just out of the oven. One of the best rolls I've ever gotten with a meal. My waitresses were very pleasant and the food came in about 5 minutes which was terrific. Wanted to try one of their ice creams but I was plenty full by that point. Overall a great county restaurant with great country folk working there, definitely a favourite by locals I would say. I'll be back!
We stopped in for breakfast with a big crowd (15). The waitresses were pleasant and very accommodating. All of our orders were correct and the food was very good! Hot and great portion size. We will definitely be going back!
Reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Great spot for groups to dine. My favorite local breakfast spot.
